Ruth Pirie - Studio Owner

I came to yoga as a new mum needing some time away to simply breathe, relax and revitalise. The beautiful practices of Yoga, mindfulness meditation and breathwork soon offered me the physical benefits of strengthening and balancing my body, while assisting me to gain great mental clarity. Yoga was my constant and my baseline while working through PND and grief during my first few years of motherhood.

Today, I am guided in multiple ways through the ancient wisdom of this profound practice. Through deepening my personal practice, I began to live life with a deep sense of gratitude while experiencing the benefits of being truly present. I approach my daily life with the perspective of mindfulness and weave this into my teaching. Yoga has taken me on the path of self-awareness, guiding me to discover and connect with my true essence and authenticity each day.

My teaching style is nonjudgmental, nurturing and inviting. I hold space for others to step into a deeper self-inquiry of their body and soul’s wisdom, encouraging the growth of students physically, mentally and spiritually whilst guiding them through nourishing conscious movement, breath work and meditation practices.

My journey has led me to sound and vibrational healing and Reiki. I am exploring my innate wisdom I share joyfully with others to pave way for healing, openness and receptivity. I channel sound consciously to help others find stillness and deep-rooted relaxation; guiding them to access their own soul's expression and return to wholeness.

My classes and workshops will guide you to challenge yourself through mindful movements which hold a balance between effort and ease, thus allowing you to connect with the space of calm and stillness that we all hold within. You will leave the practice feeling nourished, energised, balanced and renewed.

My intention is to educate and build community through movement, breath work and spiritual connection.

I have a passion for women's health and working with children. This is at the root of many of my practices with an emphasis on supporting women through prenatal care, birthing and beyond.

I was fortunate to be introduced to Yoga at a very young age by my mother and have fond memories of practicing yoga with friends whilst still in primary school. I have been practicing Yoga for over 20 years. My practice has evolved through the challenges of injuries and motherhood and each of these has left me feeling grateful for and connected to my practice. The ancient philosophies and scriptures of Yoga have so much to offer in this modern world where we often feel disconnected and lacking energy and joy. I love being able to weave these ancient teachings into my classes offering students insights both on and off the mat.

I look forward to sharing a practice with you soon.

I consider myself a Wollondilly local, having lived in the area most of my life. I started practising yoga to help cope with stress and anxiety that came from working as a consultant in the construction industry. I found the effects of a regular yoga practice so profound, that I have now decided to pivot my career into health and wellbeing.

I specialise in Vinyasa flow yoga having recently completed my teacher training at Body Mind Life in Sydney.

I am a cheerful, motivated and resilient person. I am passionate about helping people understand their physical capabilities and growing awareness of the physical and mental benefits of yoga.

I look forward to helping you with your yoga practice.

Nicole Ascaino

I found yoga at a local gym with my mum, it was a time of stress when I was finishing high school. 8 years on and my love for all things yoga continues to increase by the day.

I have a 500hr yoga teacher diploma which I completed with The Yoga Institute. I am furthering my studies to one day become a yoga therapist to continue to create spaces of awareness, rest, connection, nourishment and healing.

I am a yoga teacher, social worker, daughter, partner, sister and friend. I am a lover of animals, nature and humans. I have supported many people in diverse communities. I have experienced the effects of trauma and anxiety. The practice of unifying my mind, heart, body, soul and breath has changed my life and sparked my healing journey.

My passion is sharing gentle, personalised, breath centred yoga for healing. I am always learning from each person I connect with.

I look forward to knowing you and holding space for you soon.

The seed was planted when remedial yoga healed my back injury. I grew, as I continued to practice Iyengar Yoga for several years, until life and relocation took me away from regular practice.

I discovered My Yoga Space several years ago where I was nurtured and encouraged through the practice. Here my growth continues in ways that still amaze me.

I felt ready to learn more as my curiosity grew, I wanted to understand why yoga has such healing and beneficial properties, so I studied My Yoga Teacher Training with Vivienne Dias at Yogavibe.

I can feel my view of life and the way I live evolving as I develop deeper awareness and understanding of yogic philosophy, human anatomy, movement and breath, the postures and their inter-relationships.

I enjoy a dynamic, movement based practice, but also like to create restful pools of calmness in which we can reflect, and discover, and connect with our inner true nature and beauty.

I look forward to welcoming you and supporting your practice.

Yoga has been a part of my life for over 10 years, and my practice has helped me grow stronger in mind/body health, relationship health and financial health. There is something about yoga that when practised deeply and embracing the shifts and triggers at the same time it makes you fearless, both on and off the mat. Yoga inspires me to live each moment more mindfully and deeply.

With a background in sales and marketing, my intention as a yoga teacher is to support humans to rise and thrive into your leadership with full courage and vulnerability. The world of marketing has supported me to get out of my comfort zone and show up even when it's uncomfortable, mix this with yoga and you have full vulnerability in its true essence, where mind meets the heart and true magic happens....this is where the transformation begins.

I will always be a student of the practice and am deeply grateful for the loving wisdom my teachers have shared with me. One of them in particular, who inspired and empowered me to rise and elevate each day.....the beautiful Vivienne Diaz.

In my classes, I love to combine creative sequencing, a spirit of courage and a dose of inspiration to help you deepen your practice. I seek to help others thrive in live by nurturing body, mind and soul with yoga, and my hope is that you step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.

Linh Brown

Linh's passion for yoga started off as a physical activity, but it was after after a few classes, that she had realised it wasn't just about getting the "right" asana!
Her love for yoga grew into a space for movement, meditation and a time for herself.

Overall, Linh feels being on her mat felt like coming home and hopes to create an inclusive class where everyone feels safe and welcome.

Linh's classes provide a space of connection, warmth, challenge and relaxation. She has completed her 200hr yoga training with InYoga, and has also trained in Yin yoga with Warrior One. Additionally she has undertaken various trainings in anatomy and meditation.

Off the mat, you will find Linh skateboarding and learning new tricks, spending time with her Australian Bulldog Fergus and finding any excuse to have gelato!

Meghann Fitzpatrick

I was first introduced to yoga through the practice of meditation. It was at a class I was attending that a another suggested I try yoga as an alternate way to calm the mind and practice meditation through movement. I decided to give it a go and sought out a local restorative yoga class which I enjoyed. In the years that followed I travelled all over, always searching for a local class wherever I landed.

When I finally settled in Tasmania I went for a walk along the beach and came across a vinyasa yoga class to which the teacher invited me in. It was here that I fell in love with vinyasa
yoga. I loved the flow and found it the perfect way to cope with the many life changes that were happening at the time and calm my inner world. The more I practiced the more grounded and
balanced I felt both on and off the mat. My focus for travel then became centred on yoga and meditation retreats as I explored many different forms.

I am a big believer in yoga for all and as I delve deeper into my studies and practice. I invite you all to join me on the mat and continue this journey of turning inwards and connecting with our true selves.

Jessica Franke

Jessica was first introduced to yoga as a complementary modality during her professional dance career. What began as a purely a physical practice, soon grew in spiritual depth, becoming a practical guide back “home” to her true nature.

After a personal practice spanning 10 years, Jessica felt called to complete her yoga teaching qualifications and offer this remarkable healing modality in service to the community.

Jessica has particular interest in the traditional philosophies and teachings of yoga, with its origins dating back over 5000 years, and how we can practically implement these teachings in our modern world without diluting its potency.

Jessica is passionate about empowering her students with practical tools to enhance their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing, as well as drawing all facets of the self back into a unified, peaceful whole. Her classes will take you on a journey that gives you space to explore often unchartered nooks of your being in a safe and nurturing environment, and help you to return to a state of inner peace and grounded, loving consciousness.
