Our classes and events are inclusive and encouraging, our community is friendly and welcoming.
At My Yoga Space we acknowledge the ancient wisdom of yoga philosophy and our teachers past and present. Our classes, workshops and events explore how yoga philosophy, mindfulness practices and meditation can be applied to modern day life. It is our hope that we inspire and empower you to take the principles of the practice into your daily life to find internal balance and enrich your everyday experiences, paving the way for you to live more open and fully in the present moment.

Like most things in life that we want to gain from, Yoga and/or Pilates takes commitment and patience. A regular Yoga and/or Pilates practice becomes so much more than a series of movements or exercise over time. These mind-body interventions become a baseline and constant grounding tool during the challenges and whirlwind of modern day life. Yoga is a system and science of health that has been used, since ancient times, to give considerable relief to physical ailments, unbalanced bodily systems and mental tension. The mindfulness tools that are brought to us through these practices help us to manage stress, anxiety and fear, while helping us to stay mobile, fitter, stronger and limber.
If you are already an active person participating in any other form of physical activity, Yoga and/or Pilates will be a fantastic compliment to what you already do and will help you enjoy these activities for longer.
Science is finally starting to catch on to how these mind body interventions are changing people’s lives – for the better! The aim of Yoga is to create an absolute balance of the interrelated activities of the body, mind and energy. Bringing alignment to the body physically and mentally.
Regulating healthy blood pressure, preventing osteoporosis, bone and cartilage breakdown, preventing injuries, increasing range of movement, delaying or eradicating other age-onset illnesses, managing or eradicating back pain, not being dependant on anxiety/depression or pain medications, gaining more mental clarity and focus, balancing the metabolism, improving respiration, increasing energy levels and increasing vitality – these are just some of the benefits that are gained from a regular practice. The first few steps are often the hardest ones to make. By bringing Yoga and/or Pilates into your life and instilling patience and commitment to your health and wellbeing, you will discover the benefits in both body and mind.
