Spring carries its own kind of invitation.

Around us, the natural world is moving again — unfurling, creating, responding to light, warmth and possibility.

When we slow down enough to notice, we begin to sense the abundance already around us. The life moving through the natural world, through our own bodies and breath, and through the small moments we might otherwise pass by.

Beneath the pace of clock time, schedules and everyday doing, there is another rhythm — the quieter rhythm of life itself.

Rhythm, Rest & Ritual is an afternoon to slow down enough to listen.

To feel what is stirring within you.
To rest and receive.
To gather in community.
And to remember our relationship with the living world that holds us.

Together, Ally and Ruth will will guide you through an afternoon exploring connection, gratitude and reciprocity.

What you can expect:

We’ll begin by arriving through gentle yoga, giving ourselves time to come out of the momentum of everyday life and into a quieter relationship with the body and breath.

From there we’ll explore vocal toning and mantra, using the vibration of our own voices as another pathway into presence and connection.
This is not about performance or sounding a certain way.
It's an opportunity to listen, feel and experience the resonance created when we sound together.

We’ll then move into the receptive space of a Sound Bath, where you can simply rest and be nourished by the healing resonance of sound and stillness.

Allowing the body and mind to settle beneath the noise and momentum of everyday life.

Our afternoon will culminate in a Pago Ceremony, (read more about Pago below).

What is Pago

In the Andean Quechua tradition, a Pago is a ceremony of gratitude and reciprocity with Pachamama — Mother Earth.

Together, we will create an offering as a way of acknowledging all that we continually receive from the Earth and entering into a more conscious relationship of giving back.

There is something quietly powerful in this shift.

Rather than relating to nature only as something beautiful around us, the ceremony invites us to remember ourselves as part of a living relationship — one in which we receive, give thanks, participate and offer in return.

We’ll create our offering together in circle. Along with flowers, herbs, leaves, seeds, grains and other natural elements, we offer our intentions, prayers and gratitude into the ritual before offering it back to Pachamama.

This immersion is for you if...

• You’ve been moving through life at a full pace and are longing for somewhere to soften, exhale and experience soulful stillness.

• You feel nourished by yoga, sound, ritual, nature or gathering with others — or perhaps you simply feel curious about experiencing them in a deeper way.

• You’re craving something that feels less like "doing more" and more like reconnecting with what matters.

• You feel a pull towards the natural world, the changing seasons or a greater sense of belonging within them.

• Or perhaps there isn’t a particular reason at all. Sometimes we simply feel the pull to gather in community.

No prior experience in yoga, meditation, chanting or ceremony is needed—this is a welcoming space for all.

A space to step out of the usual pace for a little while,
to reconnect with the rhythms of the body
and the earth,
and remember the quiet wonder
woven through ordinary life.

Meet Ruth...

IMG_7600.heic

Ruth is the owner of My Yoga Space, a yoga shala in Thirlmere, created from a deep love of practice, community and the quiet ways we can return to ourselves.

Her work is grounded in yoga, meditation, sound and the belief that practice does not ask us to become someone different, but can help us come into a more honest and compassionate relationship with who we already are.

Over the years, Ruth has become increasingly drawn to the ways sound, mantra, ritual and the natural world can support this remembering. Her teaching weaves together movement, breath, stillness and sound, with an approach that is gentle, embodied and deeply respectful of each person’s own experience.

At the heart of her work is connection — to self, to one another, and to the larger living world we are part of.

For Ruth, this immersion is an extension of that enquiry: an opportunity to slow down, gather in community, listen more closely and explore what it means to be in relationship with the Earth not only through appreciation, but through gratitude, reciprocity and offering.

Meet Ally...

ally bio.jpeg

Ally is the heart behind Woonona Shala, a sanctuary created from her deep love of community, sacred gathering, yoga, mantra and the wisdom held within ancient traditions.

Her path has been shaped by years of practice, travel and pilgrimage, and by a genuine reverence for the many ways humans have gathered in ritual, prayer, movement and song across cultures and generations. At the centre of her work is a belief in connection — to ourselves, to one another, to the Earth and to something larger than ourselves.

Ally’s teaching is gentle, devotional and deeply heart-led. Through yoga, meditation, chanting, sound and ceremony, she creates spaces where people are invited to come exactly as they are, listen inwardly and reconnect with their own inner wisdom.

Community, or sangha, is an important part of her work, and she holds a deep appreciation for the way gathering together can remind us that we are not walking through life alone.

For this immersion, Ally will weave alongside Ruth throughout the afternoon through movement, mantra, sound and shared practice, before guiding us into the closing Pago Ceremony.

The ceremony feels like a natural expression of so much of what Ally holds close — gratitude, reciprocity and the understanding that we exist within a living web of relationship. Through the Pago, she will invite us to gather in circle and create an offering to Pachamama, Mother Earth: a simple but meaningful act of giving thanks for what sustains us, and of remembering our place within the greater rhythm of life.
