Service Description

Please Note: *We do not recommend the Online Pilates class to absolute beginners *Our Pilates matwork classes are not suitable for pregnant women Pilates is a range of movements designed to strengthen the deep abdominal muscles, the back and the buttocks. The focus is on quality of breath and movement not quantity and engaging the deepest core muscles during exercise. Each exercise has options to progress so you work to your own degree and your body’s requirements. Targeting the deep core and accessory muscles through Pilates will improve poor movement patterns and wake up muscles the body has stopped using, which can take the pressure off overworked muscles. With regular practice, healthy realignment occurs within the body and greater mental clarity is gained. If you love Yoga, Pilates will enhance your practice helping you to engage the deep core muscles better when on the mat and in daily activities. If you don't practice yoga but have postural issues or pain and instability, these classes will help you balance the body and allow you to integrate your improved stability and movement into your other daily activities. There are plenty of options and modifications available and opportunities to slow down or rest as required. **This Livestream Option Is Best Suited To:** - Students with a regular Pila practice - Those confident in moving with their own breath and body awareness - Those familiar with adapting their practice safely at home *As this livestream runs alongside our in-studio class, the teacher’s primary focus will be with students in the studio. While you’ll be warmly welcomed into the virtual space, individual guidance and modifications will be more limited online. For this reason, we recommend that absolute beginners or those managing injuries join us in person where we can better support you. And as always, you’re encouraged to move at your own pace. *How It Works: - Upon booking, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your Zoom link. Also, you can access this link under “My Bookings” via our booking app or website. - Please join the online class about 5-10 mins before class starts so the teacher can admit you in from the zoom "waiting room". This way you'll have time to settle in, check your sound and video. - If joining from a phone, download the Zoom app beforehand for best results. *What You’ll Need: - A yoga mat - Yoga blocks - A blanket or folded towel - Some free wall space (optional, but helpful for certain postures sometimes)

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy for LIVESTREAM Classes: Cancellations must be made at least 2 hours before the class start time. To cancel, please use one of the following methods: 1. Online via our website, OR 2. Using the “Fit by Wix” phone app (download on the App Store and Google Play—search Fit by Wix, and enter invite code VWW1KG when prompted). If you miss the 2-hour cancellation window, please text 0404 075 700 with your full name and the class day/time you're cancelling. Please note: If you cancel less than 2 hours before class, or do not attend, your class credit/payment will be forfeited. Cancellations will only be accepted via the methods listed above.
