About the Event
You are invited to join us as a community for a wholesome evening in support of the India, the birthplace of Yoga.
Satsang - exploring and absorbing the ancient wisdom of yoga… truly food for the soul
Kirtan - Call and response chanting…lifting our hearts and voices in song and inspiration
Supper - Delicious nourishment over good conversation
No previous experience or knowledge is necessary- everyone is welcome!
100% of proceeds will go directly to communities that we have visited and have direct connections with in Tamil Nadu and Haridwar/Rishikesh.
India is in crisis and the grip of suffering due to the wide spread devastation of Covid 19 with families, communities and health care systems experiencing overwhelm and exhaustion.
We are forever grateful for the ways the practice has brought sustenance to our lives and our community here in the Wollondilly…and so we are called to ask ourselves, “How can we now give back and support the Motherland of Yoga in this time of need?”
This evening will be led by Rachel Noakes (Senior Teacher, Yoga Therapist, Bhakti Yogi from “Ray of Light, Bulli”) who will guide us in devotional songs and Satsang before a vegetarian supper and chai.
We look forward to having you join us as we come together in community, to share an evening of devotion, connection and gratitude for the deep-rooted wisdom of Yoga.
